For the first time, Jackie Shroff will be seen in a Marathi film to be directed by Renuka Shahane. The film titled Rita, which is based on her mother Shanta Gokhale�s novel Rita Venlingkar. The film is produced by Pooja Shetty and will star Pallavi Joshi in the lead. The story is based on the journey of a girl from the age of 17 to 40.
Jackie�s immediate next release is Mirchi Movies� Hari Puttar , A Comedy Of Terrors. �I am playing a cameo in the film. I have Rohit Kaushik�s Chehre with Manisha Koirala, Gulshan Grover, Divya Bharati and Hrishta Bhatt next then there�s Samir Karni�s Ek The Power Of One Manisha Koirala once again and Pakistani actor Muammar Rana.� Jackie tells us.
�What I am looking forward to more is my Sai Baba role in Maalik Ek being directed by Deepak Balraaj Vij. I have lost oodles of weight and also given up smoking and drinking for this role. It is going to be the role of a life time. It is a dream come true for me. Sai Baba has made me perform the role so well.� Jackie concludes
